Poporangi Road Project

The main project for 2009 for Noel Hinton Builders has been the construction of a 365m² eco house at Poporangi Road, Keruru.

Cupolex being laid

The main features of this ecohouse are,

  1. Timbercrete construction (block made with sand, cement, pumice and waste products from saw mills.
  1. Cupolex foundation (recycled plastic).
  1. Orientation towards the sun.
  1. Underfloor hot water heating system.
  1. Thermal mass insulation.
  1. Passive heating and cooling.
  1. Skellerup eco star recycled plastic & rubber roof tiles.
  1. Solar water heating.
  1. Rainwater collection.
  1. Biolytix black and grey water disposal system.
